20 primitive Christmas papers, each a simple two-color design on a worn, tea-stained ground. These are ANTIQUE PAPERS, not fabric: old book pages and ledger sheets, sheet music, a letter in faded copperplate, postmarks, shabby wallpaper, damask, harlequin, checkerboard and a set of primitive motif prints - every one heavily distressed, faded and rubbed like paper that has been handled for a hundred years.
The palette comes straight from the Belsnickel & Bough die cuts - faded barn red and oxblood, cream and ivory, walnut brown, sage green, soot black and antique gold.
CHOOSE HOW YOU WANT IT
Double-Sided Pack - 10 sheets. All 20 designs, printed on both sides of 10 sheets. The same collection for half the paper. Best for journaling, folding, pockets and page backgrounds, where only one side shows at a time.
Single-Sided Pack - 20 sheets. All 20 designs, one to a sheet, printed on one side. Best if you CUT - when you snip a piece out of a double-sided sheet, you lose whatever was on the back. If you are fussy-cutting motifs or making tags and die cuts, take this one.
Rice Paper Set - 4 sheets, 8 x 10. Four designs on genuine rice paper, printed edge to edge, in your choice of five sets. A different material for a different job - see below.

NO PRINTED WORDS
Several papers use writing as TEXTURE - the book page, the ledger, the sheet music, the letter, the postmarks. The lettering is decorative and illegible, so nothing reads as text on your page and nothing competes with your own words.
ABOUT THE RICE PAPER
Printed on genuine rice paper - thin, soft and slightly fibrous, with visible fibers in the sheet. It goes down beautifully over wood, glass, metal, candles, fabric and furniture, and the edges disappear into the surface when you tear rather than cut. Printed edge to edge with pigment ink, which sits in the fibers and holds up well under decoupage medium once it is dry.
Tear or cut the piece you want, lay it on your surface, and brush decoupage medium over the top, working from the center outward. Use a light first coat and let it dry before you add more. Tearing gives a soft feathered edge that vanishes into the finish - most decoupage crafters tear rather than cut for exactly that reason.
